Old Stuff Again

I was planning on doing some creative poem, but I genuinely cannot think of anything, so this is just going to be a sort of reflection.

So recently, for some mystical reason, a bunch of clips from The Looney Tunes Show started appearing in my YouTube recommendations. As a result, I just binge watched a lot of these short clips. I actually did watch the two seasons of this show when they originally aired back when I was still in elementary school; though, I originally never really thought much of the animated sitcom, which is probably why I completely forgot about its existence until recently. But, maybe because of nostalgia, as I was re-watching these highlights and small segments, I actually began to enjoy the show. So much so, that I’m planning on going through the whole show again during Spring Break. This isn’t even the only show I want to re-watch because of random clips. There’s Phineas & Ferb, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the classic Tom & Jerry cartoon. Alright, yeah, nostalgia probably has a big reason for why I want to see these shows again, but I still think there’s something more.

I guess I’m now able to appreciate these shows for more than just simple comedy cartoons for kids. And this applies to more than shows, it even applies to poetry! I still remember hogging the large collection of Shel Silverstein poems in 4th grade because…. well, I don’t really know why I did. But I do know that I thought they were weird and strange, and they didn’t really appeal to me. But maybe like The Looney Tunes Show, I can now take a trip down memory lane and find ways to finally enjoy and cherish these sorts of things in a new way!
